Welcome to the Greater Grand Rapids Figure Skating Club
The Greater Grand Rapids Figure Skating Club (GGRFSC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1972 to promote the sport of figure skating in the West Michigan area. Our club, including its membersand coaches, is part of US Figure Skating (USFSA), the national governing body of figure skating, and is subject to its rules and regulations. The USFSA is structured to encourage the enjoyment of skating at all skill levels and ages.
The club is located at the Patterson Ice Center, with April Treado as our skating director. Over the years, the club has watched skaters of all ages mature in their skills and excel in reaching their goals. Some skaters participate in group lessons as a means to enjoy recreational skating more fully, while others join the club to learn the difficult skills required to become a competitive skater. The club has produced some excellent competitors and our club members regularly compete at regionals, sectionals, nationals, junior nationals, collegiate nationals and adult nationals.
